In the article, HIV-1 vaccine design through minimizing envelope metastability, the statistical analysis shown in panel #3 of Fig. 6C was mistakenly performed using duplicates, not the mean of the two data points. The two instances in the article concerning the difference in serum neutralization between the trimer and ferritin groups have been modified as the following:

In the Introduction, the statement “In rabbits, the ferritin nanoparticle elicited an autologous tier 2 NAb response after 6 weeks, which was statistically different than the tier 2 NAb response elicited by the trimer throughout the course of immunization” has now been changed to “In rabbits, the ferritin nanoparticle elicited an autologous tier 2 NAb response after 6 weeks, which was 8 weeks earlier than the tier 2 NAb response elicited by the trimer”.

In the Results, the statement “A statistical analysis found that the tier 2 NAb response was significantly different between the ferritin group and the trimer group for week 6 (P < 0.0001), week 14 (P = 0.0016), week 22 (P = 0.0330), and week 30 (P = 0.0016)” has now been changed to “A statistical analysis found that the tier 2 NAb response was significantly different between the ferritin group and the trimer group for week 6 (P = 0.0108), week 14 (P = 0.0418), and week 30 (P = 0.0424), but not for week 22 (P = 0.1721)”.

The HTML and PDF versions of the paper were corrected.
